About us
Oktoberfest, Breckenridge, 2018
Hello. We are Ryan and Mitsuko. We enjoy the outdoors but don't like seeing them despoiled.
Mitsuko was born and raised in Japan, then moved to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho because she wanted to throw mortarboard cap at graduation and marry a cowboy. That was the beginning of her American adventure. She has an English degree from Senzoku college in Yokohama, Japan, and obtained a Therapeutic Recreation degree from the University of Idaho. She has worked on ranches which serve adjunct youths and in retirement homes. Since moving to Colorado, she has been enjoying mountain biking and 4 wheeling. She likes to find "trash treasures" that can turn into fun crafts.
Born in Florida and having lived in Idaho, Arizona, Oregon, and Colorado, Ryan has spent most of his life in the American West. Growing up in the farming community of Kimberly, Idaho, Ryan learned the importance of being a good steward of our natural lands while earning his Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. Following his dreams to work in the outdoors, Ryan studied Outdoor Recreation Leadership at the University of Idaho, where he also first met Mitsuko. Ryan has been employed in the outdoor industry in some capacity for most of his working life: camp director, rock climbing coach, mountain bike advocate, high-ropes course coordinator, and more. While he may not be able to grow a full lumberjack-style beard, his love of the outdoors goes beyond a fondness for plaid.
